We have a number of specialty scholarship opportunities available for students. Our specialty scholarships actually are designed to really help students pursue their passions while working academically at the college. So we have programs in leadership in social justice, in theater, dance, music, and a few more that students can check out online. An Abele Scholarship is for students who are leaders in their communities and need financial help to get through college. I have not only received academic help, and coaching from my advisors through the Abele Scholar Program, but I've bonded and connected with so many different students on campus. It has been extremely beneficial to be in the Abele Scholars Program because I have bonded with people that I normally would never see. It's been a great advantage to have this scholarship. It just takes a load off of you know, taking out loans and worrying about financial issues and stuff. I really appreciate Bonner for not only like recognizing the time that we're putting aside to do our work and you know, volunteer in the community. I have things that I want to accomplish. I have dreams. I want to follow through on those dreams. So being able to focus on that and only that throughout my four years here, just coming from where I come from is is really, really a huge blessing. Our scholarship opportunities really allow for students of all different backgrounds, including different socio-economic backgrounds, to attain a Ursinus education. Accessibility is really critical to who we are as an institution. Here at our Ursinus College private is actually possible and you'll see that it's something that we say pretty frequently because we want students to understand that although we are a liberal arts institution, our variety of need-based funds, married funding, specialty scholarships, really does mean that we work hard to ensure that all students have the ability to attend Ursinus should they find that it's the best fit for them.
