The faculty here treats you as more than just their student who's sitting in their classroom. They really genuinely care about each kid as an individual more than just a college student. I've had professors that just, I just feel it from like day one, they walk into the classroom and I feel how they're reaching me more than just lecturing for 50 minutes. I think it's just it's huge to have that in college, especially on this at a smaller school versus you know, a school that's kind of 1,000s upon 1,000s of kids, where you might get drawn into the crowd and you might like kind of fade away, they might not realize who you are or ever get to know you really. Ursinus faculty are super special in a lot of different ways. One of the most like telling and really touching moments for me was having to leave school for a couple of weeks and returning not only with the support of my peers, but also a card written by my professor and my classmates, which was, you know, you don't get that at other schools, that sense of like, "We're a family and we're not just a class, but we're in it together." I would say one thing, one major thing that distinguishes Ursinus faculty and staff from other institutions, it's a real passion or drive to help our students. Faculty and students have personal exchanges and get to know each other so the faculty aren't afraid to let the students in. And I feel they think increasing that level that connection, that relationship with them, allows for a stronger trust to be built and allows for the students may be to want to learn more. The reason that professors are here at Ursinus college is because we love working with students. This is our number one priority here as professors. As long as our door is open, a student should feel free to stop by and come in and ask homework questions, ask questions about class, ask anything they really want to.
